Intakery / Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

How Intakery handles personal information collected through this website. Plain-English version. Last updated April 29, 2026.

What this policy covers

This policy applies to intakery.com and the data we collect when you fill out the waitlist form, the contact form, or otherwise interact with the marketing site. It does not cover the Intakery product itself once you become a paying client — that is governed by a separate data processing agreement signed at onboarding.

What we collect

Waitlist signups

Contact form submissions

Technical data

Our hosting providers (Vercel for the marketing site, Render for the backend, Neon for the database) automatically log standard request metadata — timestamps, user agents, response codes — for operational and security purposes.

We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand aggregate traffic patterns and Core Web Vitals on this site. These services are designed to be privacy-friendly: they do not set tracking cookies, do not store raw IP addresses, and do not fingerprint individual visitors across sites. They collect anonymous, hashed page-view counts and performance measurements only.

We do not run advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or third-party tag managers on this site.

How we use it

We do not sell, rent, or otherwise share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Where it is stored and who else sees it

Personal data is stored in a Postgres database hosted on Neon. Our backend runs on Render. Both providers process data on our behalf under their own data processing agreements and may store data on servers located in the United States.

When you submit the waitlist or contact form, an internal notification is sent to the operator over Telegram and (where configured) Slack. These messages are visible only to authorized members of the Intakery team.

How long we keep it

We keep waitlist signups and contact form submissions for as long as you remain on the waitlist or until the product launches and you have decided whether to become a customer, plus a reasonable additional period for record-keeping. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your rights

If you are in the United States (CCPA, CPRA, and equivalent state laws)

If you are a resident of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Oregon, Texas, Montana, or another US state with a comprehensive consumer privacy law, you have the right to:

We act as a Service Provider under California Civil Code §1798.140(ag) and as a processor under equivalent state privacy laws when we process lead data on behalf of our law-firm customers. The customer firm is the Business / Controller for that data and is your primary contact for requests about lead-side records — but we will cooperate with any request the firm forwards to us.

If you are in Canada (PIPEDA)

Even though Intakery primarily targets US law firms, we operate from Canada. The Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) gives Canadian residents the right to:

If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

How to make a request

For any of the rights above, email michael@intakery.com with the subject line “Privacy request” and a brief description. We will respond within 30 days (45 days in some US states, where the additional time is permitted by law).

Equivalent rights apply to residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and other jurisdictions with comprehensive privacy laws. Contact us using the same address and we will honour them.

Security

All traffic to this site is served over HTTPS. Personal information is stored in Neon Postgres with access controls and encryption at rest. IP addresses are one-way salted-hashed before storage so the raw values never appear in our database. Rate limiting and honeypot fields protect against bots and abuse.

No system can guarantee perfect security. If we ever discover a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the appropriate regulators as required by law.

Cookies

We do not set tracking cookies on this site. The analytics services we use (Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights) operate without cookies. Future authentication once the product launches will use only cookies strictly necessary to function.

Children

Intakery is a business-to-business service for law firms. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
